The rules for this tournament are going to be very simple. I will list them as follows
1. Only the original 151 pokemon are eligible for the tournament.
2. There will be a draft for your team of 6 and there are no duplicates (only one of each pokemon)
3. Only two pokemon are banned; Mew and Mewtwo
4. This is going to use gen 1 rules and mechanics/formulas.
5. Trades can be conducted between players, but must be approved by at least half of the participants as a fair trade.
6. Each match is best two out of three. In between matches you can sub out for pokemon on your bench.
7. Each player will have 1 rival. They will play their rival twice. Other than that the play each other player once.
8. Once all matches have been played, the players are sorted into a winners bracket and a losers bracket. The winner of each rivalry will go into the winners bracket (the highest overall record throughout the winners gets a bye) and the loser of each rivalry goes into a losers bracket (highest record gets bye). The winner of the winners and losers bracket will face off in the championship.
9. Trades can happen at anytime before the winners bracket and losers bracket are finalized.
10. Wrap/Fire Spin and any moves similar are banned as well as any accuracy or evasion moves.
